Hello dear readers!
the space centre - from outside.π
Today's blog is about the activities day school trip I went on to the National space centre in Leicester. I went there last Thursday with my friends and teachers, it was about an hour or so from our school ( we travelled by coach ) even though it was not necessarily close, it was still a wonderful and educational trip. When we entered we were greeted by a wonderfully decorated hallway with spaceships hanging from the ceiling and spacesuits in glass cases almost in every turn and corner! I first went to the planetarium show and we weren't allowed to film it but I can tell you that it was interactive, interesting and exciting!
Afterwards I ate lunch then visited the gift shop which had everything from moon rocks and keychains to posters and mugs all the way to pens and notebooks! I ended up getting a Saturn necklace, a quartz rock and a Uranus keychain.
Later on we visited the different exhibits and interactive games but then was the best part we visited the rocket! It had almost 5-6 floors each filled with different activities and framed pictures or posters of how it was made and when/ why it was made. Then we headed backs after an exciting 4 and an half hours of educational and interesting experience.
πall the clothes the astronauts have to wear and all the y need to go through before being ready to go to space.
all the souvenirs I got from the trip.π
Overall I would say that this was a wonderful experience filled with educational and interesting activities throughout the day. If you are a person who loves space or anything educational at all, I definitely recommend this to you!
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask :)
I hope you have a wonderful day! Until next time my dear readers...this is Renita Richard, signing out.
